The NSA leaks by Edward Snowden brought internet surveillance into limelight, the story continues till date. The top-secret Prism program that targeted the servers of giant companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Apple was exposed by the Snowden, who brought into notice the prowess of British and American intelligence agencies into breaking the online encryption. However, these companies have started mulling over the ways and means for the secured data storage. In spite of the big story on the NSA leak, most companies had shown their faith in the encryption technology to protect data at rest and in transit.

It is true that percentage of share that Apple commands in the smart-phone and tablet market has declined because of emergence of cheap devices in the price-sensitive emerging markets.
